Lori
Lori grew up on a farm in Southeast Nebraska raising all matter of livestock. Aside from her full time job with Otoe County , she finds great love in gardening and feeding all the animals on the ranch.
Kevin
Kevin’s cattle experience started as a young man working summers with family in Arkansas. After serving in the USMC for 5 years, he spent the next 31 years as a Nebraska State Trooper.
He spent his spare time fishing, hunting, and raising livestock first for hobby and later as a registered seed stock producer.
How the ranch got started
The Fox Creek Cattle Company was founded by Kevin and Lori Knorr in 2014. Both Kevin and Lori chose public service for the first chapter of their lives. Kevin, as a United States Marine and then a Nebraska State Trooper. Lori, made a career as an administrative assistant for a County Prosecutor. Kevin and Lori have many years of experience raising, showing, and working livestock.
After two years of extensive research into the type of operation and the breed of cattle they would be best suited for, the two set out to purchase registered Red Angus Cows. Ten registered cows were purchased from well know red angus cattle ranches in 2015.
The red angus breed total herd reporting provided the Fox Creek Cattle Co with data driven selections for a foundation herd. The Fox Creek Cattle Co focuses on producing herd building registered Red Angus seed stock. As the operation grows we’ll continue to increase our annual offering of top quality Red Angus bulls and replacement heifers.
In August of 2016, they purchased a few commercial cows that will focus on producing certified Red Angus steers for customers interested in purchasing 1/4’s, 1/2’s and whole feeder steers. They did the research and found a meat processor with the required experience and reputation to process these select animals.
